About PC2DSP Software

PC2DSP Software provides software applications and consulting services for Windows to Embedded Platforms including Digitial Signal Processing (DSP). The fundamental approach to all projects is taking a system or product level view to insure all requirements of the projects are defined and achieved. We have experience from product definition through project completion in software/DSP applications including client and server products through terminal to base stations systems. The real value is understanding the interfaces and interaction of all of the components of the system and not just those that are under design. We also know the importance of stability, real-time, and memory requirements while maintaining flexibility to expand and last for generations to come regardless of the platform. A final aspect we consider of any product is the Intellectual Property to protect it in the market place including trademarks and patents.

Allan Lamkin, President and Chief Architect

Allan Lamkin brings more than 20 years of engineering design and management experience in product and system engineering, resulting in the development of world-class products including production for the major Hollywood Studios including BD-Live and Digital Copy, AT&T Airphone, GM OnStar, Thuraya satellite phone, ESports Arena, VideoSaver, PCFriendly DVD player and InterActual Player with over 100 million copies in 8 different languages distributed. Mr. Lamkin has worked extensively with intellectual property as the inventor on 10 issued patents and 14 pending patents, as well as in the management, licensing, and sales ($4M+) of over 300 patents and various trademarks in both the U.S. and foreign markets. In addition, Mr. Lamkin brings 20 years of hardware and firmware digital signal processing (DSP) and software development experience and has been Chief Technical Office (CTO) at server companies, where he has been responsible for managing the strategy and development of products as well as involved in the hands on design and development. Mr. Lamkin has built engineering organizations from the ground up and knows how to establish company development processes.

Mr Lamkin has over 20 issued patents and another 20+ patents pending in various technologies. Mr. Lamkin received both the Hughes Network Systems Presidential Award for Excellence in the Field of Technology and the Hughes Outstanding Patent Award. Mr. Lamkin is a graduate of the Executive Program for Scientists and Engineers (EPSE) from the University of California, San Diego. He received a Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering from the University Of California, San Diego and a Master’s of Science Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.
